Hello, thank you for taking your time to help me with my issues. I am in need for an upgrade and so i have decided to keep the current hard drive I have right now. The issue is that since i am getting new components, I would need a new Windows license but the hard drive that i have now is running windows 7. Would I be able to just plug in my hard drive and be able to install windows 10 without any issues or would I have to uninstall windows. (Also i don't care about the files i ahve on this hard drive, I am only using the same one just to save money.)

depends on what kind of an upgrade you are doing. Is the CPU brand (intel/amd) the same? What is your current rig and what are you planning on upgrading to? If you upgrade and ever if you reinstall you can call up microsoft and try to get windows reactivated again. most people do it without issue.
