Changing HDD of a portable HDD

I changed the HDD of an external HDD and it wont appear on explorer. On disk management appear this:

No letter or format and I cant add a new letter.

If I connect the drive though SATA it appears correctly in explorer.

google the model of the unit you replace the drive with. some of these brand name units from wd and samsung now have an anti theath cirute in them that if someone steals the drive or opens the case the old drive and new drive wont work right.

No one else seems to have problems changing the HDD

I believe this is probably because the HDD I'm trying to use is 3TB and the case is up to 2TB.
