Y Yakufall Commendable Sep 10, 2016 14 0 1,520 Sep 3, 2018 #1 I changed the HDD of an external HDD and it wont appear on explorer. On disk management appear this: No letter or format and I cant add a new letter. If I connect the drive though SATA it appears correctly in explorer.

smorizio Titan Jan 22, 2010 30,980 11 125,315 Sep 3, 2018 #2 google the model of the unit you replace the drive with. some of these brand name units from wd and samsung now have an anti theath cirute in them that if someone steals the drive or opens the case the old drive and new drive wont work right.
