Probably a stupid question, but I am trying to change out the Heatsink/Cooler on my P4 1.8, which is a AVC C7015B 12M. It has a couple of metal tabs that look and feel like they should pull up to release it from the CPU, but they either fit very tight or I am doing something wrong in trying to get them to release. I don't want to damage the motherboard or CPU/CPU slot, and I wonder if anyone could provide a little guidance so I don't screw things up.

Thanks in advance

Well...i've never actually touched a pentium 4 heatsink mechanism, but i'm pretty sure all you do is lift up the tabs on either side, and pull off the heatsink/fan combo. I wouldn't worry about damaging the motherboard or CPU, it wasn't built to have an ultra high pressure contact anyway

Instead of Rdram, why not just merge 4 Sdram channels...
