Question Changing internet download manager save to folder to another drive ?

My C drive running low on space and i am planning to move all idm created folder such as compressed, video, music and etc to my D drive. My question is do i need to create all these folder in my D drive before changing save to directory ? or idm will create it automatically after i changing the General folder path?
And how about temporary folder, do i need to move it to D drive too ? Or it can just stay on my C drive ?
