Changing IP address on IP based contest

Hey guys, I joined this forum at the recommendation of a friend.

I'm curious about being able to vote in an IP-based contest multiple times. Basically, I entered an annual photo contest months ago and was encouraged to get "family, room-mates, classmates" and .etc to vote daily. I did, for weeks, and afterwards I was told that votes from the same IP in 24 hours weren't counted- so basically the 4 a day from my house, 20 a day from my classmates at school, 10 a day from residence only got counted as 1 per day and... you get the picture- I kinda got screwed.

So now I'm back in! They opened up another round and I am getting beat pretty bad at the moment. Normally I wouldn't have to result to these means but I was a bit disrespected by the administrators last time and would like to even things up.

So basically I can only vote once per day from my IP, anything else isn't counted. So what I am wondering is- how can I change my IP, whether by using a proxy, VPN (I don't even know what these are too be honest) or whatever it takes, in order to vote from the same computer multiple times per day without them being the wiser.

I am ambitious and want to win haha. Any information is appreciated guys.

Asking others to help cheat on a contest is pretty immature. I would suggest you talk to your friends and family. Closing this before it gets silly.
