Hiya,
We are haveing difficulty in attempting to change an IRQ
preset for some installed hardware. WinNT4 for workgroups
has given the device one IRQ, and the software utillity
that uses this piece of hardware demands a different IRQ.
Any ideas as to force NT4 into changing the IRQ to what we
want instead of what it(NT4) wants?
Thanks for your assistance.

What kind of device is this? Where is it connected? This could be a possible
setting in the BIOS. NT detects com/lpt ports and uses the BIOS config to
assign IRQ's typically. You may need to set the bios option for Plug N Play
OS to NO or disable com ports depending what this is attached to?

What type of device is this? How is the IRQ being assigned to
the hardware --- via jumper or eprom? Or software? Moreover, is
the device and application designed and programmed to work in
a Windows NT machine?
