Changing laptop's hdd to ssd

Hi guys
I have a lenovo e540 (i7 4702-mq, 8gb ram).I want to add another 8gb ram.
First i should use ddr3 L , right?
And i want to switch my 1tb 7200 rpm hard drive to a samsung evo 850 250 gb ssd.
Will i need any cables or accessories ?
i'm not that familiar with those things

But concerning the ram i saw the kingston 8gb ddrl 3 for a good price.
Is it still a good chice for my laptop ??
