Hello i am trying to change my local ip - 192.168.xx.xxx
i'm trying to change just the last digit but i'm not sure what's wrong because when i try ipconfig /release and /renew, nothing happens, no ip address or any value is changed. So i try changing it manually in the network adapter properties, but when i do change it, my internet stops working. So i downloaded a program and managed to change it that way but my internet still stops working until i set it back. I am only changing the last digit. What can i do to fix this? i want to change my local ipv4 address. dhcp is running and set to automatic in windows services. currently i am usb tethering my mobile wifi connection to my computer because my ethernet cable has snapped. How do i change it and get the internet to work?
