Hi Guys,

I'm running this motherboard, http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16813157163

with currently these memory cards, https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B001LK7ZTM/ref=oh_aui_detailpage_o01_s00?ie=UTF8&psc=1

I'm running Windows 7 x64 Ultimate Edition.

What I want to know is. Right now, it's 6gb. If I want to upgrade my memory to say, 8GB or higher,

WHat do you guys recommend I should do? Should I get completely new memory sticks like these (http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16820231308) or can I even try to add these to my current ones to get 14GB?

Or just get completely new sets like these?http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16820231489

My mobo can apparently support up to 24gb of triple channel memory.

Solution
I'd get a new set of the full amount of DRAM you want need. A) there are no guarantees when mixing sets of DRAM and B) DDR3 has changed since the release of your mobo, pre 2011 DDR3 was made with low density based IC, since then it's used high density memory ICs which are seldom compatible with the 1366 mobos
