[SOLVED] Changing monitor refresh rate messes up screen

So basically, I have a 144hz monitor (Viotek Gn27c) and is currently connected via a DVI cable. I want to be able to use this monitor at 144hz but the screen turns white and distorts everything . But when the monitor is set to 60hz it is perfectly fine. Please help this has been bothering me for so long.

For 144Hz the manufacturer recommends you use a Dual Link DVI-D cable, or use DisplayPort:

Alright, thank you! I have just ordered both of these cables just in case the other doesn't work.
