Used a Gigabyte GA-Z68X-UD3H-B3 for two years, it died, purchased an Asus Sabertooth Z77. When swapping the parts from the Gigabyte to the Asus board, do I need to format my hard drive?

Thank you.

Solution
you should not have to. just make sure you run the asus usb flashback and put the newest 2104 bios on the mb first. the intel chipset are real close and should not be an issue. you should only need to update the intel mei and asmedia usb 3.0 drivers. you will have to call microsoft and get a new windows registion number within 30 days.
