Hello everyone,
My motherboard is an old DDR2 system,
http://www.gigabyte.com/Motherboard/GA-MA785GM-US2H-rev-10#ov
and I want to upgrade it to this:https://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16813128565 while re-using my 1055t, and 4GB of DDR3 that I have laying around. I also want to keep all my data as well. Is this possible or do I need to do a clean install of Windows 10?

Solution
Yes, they would.

Only problem is, if you have installed a game as say 32 Bit, but are upgrading to 64 bit with the new hardware, that game won't work.

Along with all other programs that previously used 32 bit. ( Unless you still have the installer, and you can upgrade it to 64 Bit )
Preferably, i'd do a clean install of windows, but you can just remove your hard drive, upgrade to the new mobo and boot from the HDD, although it will take maybe a few minutes longer due to all the new stuff that you have.

Hopefully this helps.

If I just upgrade the board and boot to my original hard drive, will all my files still remain intact? I have a lot of music, pictures, and games that would take hours to re-install. It would be quite a pain.
