I am currently on an FX-6350 CPU and I am upgrading to a ryzen 5 2600. because of this I am getting an MSI x470 gaming plus ATX motherboard and replacing my Gigabyte GA-78LMT-USB3 Micro ATX Motherboard, I want to know if me changing from a micro ATX to ATX makes a difference in a case which supports both types.

Just to make sure, a gtx 960 will fit on the msi x470 motherboard right?

Solution
The hardware changes look OK, although a GTX960 is getting a bit long in the tooth if you're gaming it'll operate with the new CPU/MB/RAM.
Don't forget, you'll really want to do a full reinstall of Windows to avoid driver conflicts, getting rid of MB chipset drivers and similar can be impossible and reinstalling with the 'keep programs and data ' option has much the same issues.
Before you make any hardware changes, link your Windows install/license to a Microsoft account, that way it'll transfer over, even if you have a OEM or Builder license, otherwise there's a better than even chance you'll end up being forced to purchase a new license or key unless you have a full retail licence/key.
