So,I've recently bought a laptop. When I turned it on I found out that it had endless OS installed.
Since I have never used a laptop with endless OS I want to change to windows but I've got no idea how to.My laptop supports windows 10.
Can you help me out

Do some research, and make sure your laptop is fully compatible with Windows 10. Research to ensure all device drivers are present, purchase a Windows 10 OS from a reputable dealer, and then go through the install. If you really want to cover your bases, I'd get a 2nd HD, to replace the HD that came with your laptop. That way, if windows 10 doesn't install properly, you can put your old HD back in, and continue on with this Endless OS, of which I also have never heard of.

I already have windows downloaded to a usb the problem is I don't know how to uninstall my current OS and install windows using endless.

I'm 100% sure windows are compatible with my computer. The problem is I don't know how to uninstall endless and install windows since I have never used this OS before.

PS:Endless is an OS based on Linux kernel

Well when I try that I get this error 0xc00000e9

Can you explain me what this installation media creation tool is and how to use it.Because what I did was to download windows from pirate bay and then use poweriso to make a bootable usb drive.

Hi

Now you admit downloading from pirate bay the moderators will close this down
This site does not support software piracy

Some linux partitioning confuses windows installer

Hirens boot cd has tools to erase the boot and partition info at the beguining of the disk

Western digital data lifeguard for windows is the best tool as it can also test your hard drive

Then buy a genuine copy of windows 10 they come on usb, dvd or digital download from Microsoft or a few partners

Easy my friend
Just turn on the laptop , then press f2 couple of times , then drag the Dvd boot to the first option in the right side of the window , then press save and exit f10 ...
Now it will be restart , press enter constantly then you will see the boot is right there :)

I had the same problem with an Asus VivoBook , the thing is when Endless os is installed it formats the hdd and it doesn't accept Windows usb or DVD. The solution is quite simple ( after two days for looking for an answer ) , in Endless you have to search Disks and format the hdd so that it accepts all formats. It has nothing to do with the BIOS. After format just restart the laptop or PC and press ESC , the usb option should appear.
Please share , i read on a lot of sites people having problems with this, even the Asus support couldn't help, they thought it's from the BIOS. Thank you

andu951 i have a Asus VivoBook x541na endless . i have deleted all partition with parted magic and no start the installation of windows with usb boot. how i can resolve this problem?
thanks

Reinstall Endless OS with the selection for HDD , search for Disks and format the HDD so that it will accept all type of OS , after just restart the laptop with the usb in it . When you press ESC the Windows usb will appear as option .

Can't format the HDD because there are the endless OS

take drive out replace it with a new blank one , install windows.. be done
then once system is stable, use usb container to hold the old drive, then kill partitions on the drive and use it as a backup data drive.
BTW Endless is a Linux OS, so if you have a Linux OS Live CD you should be able to toss that partition..

but as mentioned earlier by andu951:

is something to also verify.

Hello,
A colleague of mine bought a ASUS VivoBook Max A541N notebook (with EndlessOS) then asked me to install Windows10.
I tried to add a boot option in BIOS in order to boot from DVD (optical drive) or USB. No success!!!...
Then I remembered that I have an external USB optical drive (LG GP10).
With this drive connected I started the notebook, entered the bios boot option (in advanced mode, F7 key), and guess what......
- a boot option appeared (UEFI DVD.......).
I selected this option to be the first to boot from and then restarted the notebook, hooping that will work...
And that WORKED!!! The Windows10 logo appeared and started to install.
I deleted all (ALL!!!) the partitions from the harddisk and then created others, according to her needs.
Now she is a happy owner of ASUS VivoBook Max A541N with Windows10.

I hope this information will help you.

Best regards,
Radu.

Hey! Could you specify on what partition should be formatted. I have three of them on my hdd, one for BIOS, one for the Endless and the last one for the user data. So which one should be formatted? thanks!
