Just an thought, but I am getting an Enermax ELC-LMR240 Liqmax II 240 for my computer and was wondering if anyone has heard of changing the internal liquid out of these or any water cooling system? Also does anyone know what the pre-installed liquid is?

Solution
It's a very simple thing to change the coolant in an All-in-One cooler... provided it is not a CLC. CLC characteristics include:

a) Weak pump, typically 0.11 gpm
b) Can not open system to change coolant, augment corrosion inhibitors, etc when they lose their effectiveness after 12-18 months
c) cheap, inefficient aluminum radiators
d) extreme speed fans
e) no reservoir

I would suggest that you get a cooler with none of these weaknesses and grab a Swiftech or EK All-in-One liquid cooler. Changing the fluid is a very simple and easy procedure....as is adding more blocks to the loop, say to cool your GFX card as the pumps are more than capable on these OLC type coolers.

Does it have a drain hole? Most AIO coolers are sealed and never meant to be opened. Why do you want to change the fluid? If you did do that I dont think there would be a good way to bleed the system of air, which would mean it would likely perfom worse after you changed the fluid and you could possibly kill the pump if too much air is in the system when you turn it on. I would say its a bad idea and I wouldn't try it.

Thew fluid is usually just distilled water, possibly with some additives to prevent corrosion and bacterial growth.
