Changing parts, whats compatible?

I would like to upgrade my computer, my asrock900fx extreme 3 motherboard is bottlenecking my cpu as my cpu is amd fx 8350125w..... vrm..... yea....

i have a gtx 660, its gddr5.
my ram is DDr3 and is running 2309mhz

I have three questions now, should i just get a i7 cpu and motherboard?

Is there such a board that could support ddr3 ram and ddr4 or would the ddr3 ram bottleneck the ddr4 ram?

also i have a corsair h50i liquid cool system. But the older one not the newer one. Anyone know if would i could get the bracket for intel system build.

Please give me some motherboard i could use that are reliable and good for the money.

Gigabyte GA-970A-UD3P is a great board for a potential replacement. There is no motherboard that support both DDR3 and DDR4.

Should you upgrade to Intel? Well that depends entirely on your budget.

What is your budget? Also, you cannot mix ddr3 and ddr4 ram. they have different form factors/

Currently, only Intel LGA1151 and LGA2011-3 supports DDR4. AMD is not compatible at all right now.

Why do you think that your motherboard bottlenecks? What happens?

Looking at your ram is it running too high of a speed,i would run ram for that chip at about 1866mhz.
