How do I change the quick key for "Select All" to be the A key? I've
gone into the config settings, but I don't see the Select All option as
mappable.

Anyone have a clue about this? I'm desperate to make A my quick key for
Select All. I had to turn off the Toggle AI function because I kept
hitting the A key to select all my members. I remember doing it in BG1,
but I can't find how to do it with BG2.

Thanks.

It's the setup option on the intro box (The screen you see before
you reach full screen mode). You can remap most of the keys,
including the 'a' key, though I think a small number of them are
hard coded.

Not sure I know what you are talking about. Before I go into full screen
mode, I have "Play", "Config", etc. but no "Setup". Config does not have
the "Select All" option as something I can assign, but it seems odd to
me that there is no way to do it.

In your SOA directory there shopuld be a file called keymap.ini wich contains
all the key assignments including the one you are looking for.

Open the file in notepad and change the line that says
"Select All Members=+"

If you change it to A you also have to change the line that says
"Toggle AI=A"

Save the file and restart the game and it should be working the way you want.

Thank you! I knew there had to be a way! This will help me immensely!

Well, that didn't work, but I suspect it's because the "Select All
Members" entry is listed under the "Fixed" category, so even though it
saved my change, the game did not implement it.

Do you think if I add a new "Select All Members" entry somewhere else in
the file, it will pick that up and use it? I'll try, I guess it won't hurt.

Sorry,

I didn't see that it is a fixed key.
It won't let you change that as far as I know so your stuck with it.

Doesn't BG2 have a similar configuration option to BG1? (Haven't played
BG2 yet)

Just run that and it will change the keys to what you select.

Similar, but I just can't for the life of me find a way to change the
"Select All Members" key, which is frustrating. Even when I edit the
config file in the main directory, it still won't recognize the changes
I've made, and it always uses '=' instead of the 'A' that I prefer.
