Changing RAM, computer doesn't start correctly

While changing RAM sticks, my computer will not start correctly. It turns on, the fans spin, but nothing is detected by my monitor. When I changed my RAM back, it still had the same issues.

Specs:
MSI g45 z87
Intel i5 4970K
Corsair Vengeance 1600 8GB, replaced by Corsair Veneance 2133 16GB

Try resetting the BIOS when you swap the RAM.

Is it 2 x 8gb 2133 cl11 1.65V ram?

Did you put it in the correct dimm slots per your mobo manual?

Were the slots and ram clean?

Is it the only ram in your PC?

Did you enable XMP in bios?

What's the DRAM model number and what slots are you trying in...also is the CPU OCed at all?

You need to make BIOS adjustments to get that RAM to work correctly else it won't likely POST.

They should at a minimum post and go to the BIOS, where you would enable XMP and select profile 1, may need a slight CPU OC
