Hello,

I have been running a 3570k at 4.5GHz and have had no problems, it is completely stable as i have tested time and time again.

I'm currently running 8GB of RAM (2 X 4GB) at 1333

However, i was thinking of upgrading my memory to:
G.SKILL Ripjaws X Series 8GB (2 x 4GB) 240-Pin DDR3 SDRAM DDR3 2133 (PC3 17000)

Will my overclock become unstable if i switch the memory? Will my CPU have to work harder therefor have higher temps if i do this switch or is everything A-OK to go?

On a side note i am running a ASrock extreme4 z77 board.

Thank you for your responses.

Usually, and that's the key word usually, there won't be any issue as long as you're overclocking via the CPU multiplier. However since the memory controller is cpu dependent; there can be issues.
