Hello, I play csgo and I use the resolution of 1280x1024. I use at 1920x1080 desktop.

My extra monitor (LG W2261VP) uses 1920x1080 as well. When I open csgo on my first monitor the resolution of the second monitor changes, dragging all my windows across and leaving 2 black bars at each side of the monitor.

I have tried playing around with scaling in my nvidia control panel and I'm pretty sure I've tested nearly every combination to no avail.

Any ideas?

my gpu is nvidia gtx560ti and my primary monitor is benq xl2420t

Solution
IF you play a game in Full Screen it WILL change the reslolution of ALL monitors when you play it.

You have to play the game in windows mode which will the not change the resloution of the screens.

thanks for the reply.

I'm okay with it changing resolution, but is there anyway to get it to change and still fit the monitor correctly? Scaling doesn't seem to make any difference what so ever, all I want to do is have something full screen on my next monitor and for it to stay full screen when the resolution changes

not possible?

thanks again.

Set it to a widescreen resolution like the 1920x1080, 1600x900, 1366x768, 1280x720 ect. You have it set for a 4x3 ratio so it will look distorted. Best best is to set CS:GO to 1920x1080 then it won't change the resloution of the other monitor bc that is what it is already running at. That should fix the issue
