Changing static IP address on Windows 7 to a new one?

Hi there,

I've had the same IP address for years and want to change it to a new one - I have a dynamic IP but for some reason it will never change.

It looks as if it's always static - can anyone help me with what settings I need to change on Windows 7 to get it to roll over onto a new IP address?

Any help would be urgently appreciated!

Your ISP assigns the address via DHCP. There is no way to change that address without losing connectivity to the Internet. Your ISP must use long DHCP leases.
