Im looking at this deal for a decent motherboard being sold dirt cheap, but the guy selling it claims it doesn't have the "bios battery", and that he doesnt have ddr2 ram and cpu to test it out to see if it works.
I was wondering, can you just put any battery in any mobo? If not are they expensive and/or hard to come buy? Ive been looking at a few websites selling pc parts and im having a hard time finding it (im not from the US so no eBay for me).
Could i put the battery from my Gigabyte GA-P31-ES3G to the other one? The model is ASUS P5QL-E.
Thanks

Hi,

The CMOS battery is a CR2032 and can be found in multiple places online.

I would recommend you buy one from a trusted brand such as Maxell or Panasonic.

If you want to find one just google the CR2032 and purchase one which fits your shipping requirements. Most times postage is free, however it can take a while as they often have to be shipped as it is dangerous to take them through the air.
