Changing thermal paste

Hello, today i decided to change thermal paste on laptop, and here is the case, on gpu thermal paste went under that... lets call it sticker, should i remove it or leave it?

Every laptop looks the same inside and therefore no need to tell about model number, and therefore I'm able to imagine where you have smear the thermal paste around where it isn't supposed to be. And if that doesn't work I can always have a look in my magic crystal ball, and I will have a true and clear answer as soon I can find it.

Until then - any smear of thermal past will probably not have any negative influence on your system, assuming that is not the secondary problem and there is a bigger issue if you have not being carefull when adding it and accidentally slammed into something else.
