[SOLVED] Changing to 64x-bit based

Am using a Compaq product, AMD Athlon in Dual-core 2.00GHz processor and a 32-bit based system type laptop. I was thinking of changing the processor in order to change it to x64-bit based. Does that sound like a good idea?

Do you have problems with the system as is right now?
Cuz if not then don't bother.

Secondly, you don't need a new CPU for x64.
Dual core supports it.
Also, swapping out CPU on a laptop is not easy and I don't recommend it.
