I have a new computer that I haven't initially booted up yet and I have a new SSD that I plan to install. Should I install the hard drive before I initially start the computer, or should I start the computer first and replace the drive after? I have a copy of Windows 10 that I also plan to upgrade the computer to. However, it's a downloaded file from my school, not on a disk. (Also, the computer doesn't have an optical drive.)
I personally like to get all the configuration stuff done on the factory disk and then clone it to the SSD. Other people say clone it first then power on. I don't know that either way is better.
Microsoft provided a program to make a win 10 upgrade dvd or usb or iso image
So bootable win 10 usb is way to go
Run setup on usb rather than boot from usb for first upgrade to W 10
