Changing USB 2.0 ports to Firewire?

I have an ASUS X750JB Laptop.
It has a VGA port, HDMI, ethernet, audio/mic, 2 USB 3.0s, and 2 USB 2.0 ports. I never use the USB 2.0 ports and I'm actually in need of a Firewire port.
Would I be able to replace those USB 2.0 ports for a Firewire one?
Here are pics of the card and flat ribbon connector

I just don't really have much of a clue on how those ribbon connectors work and am not sure if there are any firewire cards that might be compatible with something like that.

In any case, other suggestions on how to somehow connect a Firewire cable to my laptop by any other means would also be appreciated!

To which device you wanna connect your Laptop to?

USB and firewire are not compatible to each other, a simple replacement won´t work.

Converter from USB to firewire could be possible. How to build one:

also it could possible to get an USB to express card adapter and then plug a firewire express card into it.

getting an old Laptop with firewire would be the cheapest and the most simple thing to get connected, I think

for PC are PCI(e) expansion cards available
