Changing Video Card from Radeon HD 7870

Hey guys! First of all, sorry for mistakes, english isn't my main language.

So i own a good computer for 3 years or so and I want to change video card.

I run on a i7-4770 CPUs @ 3.4ghz
windows 10 64 bit
16 gb ram
ASUS RADEON HD7870-DC2TG-2GD5

I need your help trying to figure out what card should I buy.

Here are my criteras:

I play mostly in 1080p and i don't plan switching to 4k gaming before a few years.
VR may interest me
I would like to be able to plug at least 2 hd monitor (3 would be best)
I prefed Nvidia to AMD since I own a Nvidia Shield and I would like to stream my game.

I have a budge around 400$CND

Also how much does my old card worth if I want to resell it?

What's your PSU? A gtx 970 would be a great upgrade for 1080 provided at least a 550w good quality psu

Sorry I forgot to mention this info. I have a Corsair 750W

If you're serious about VR, you'll have to go with AMD. nVidia has higher latency with their current cards, and it makes people dizzy.
