Changing video source?

Until a new motherboard can be installed, I need to remove my current video card and switch to the on-board video of an Asus Z97K. Want to put a a M.2 card and a Lycom DT-120 card in that hi-speed socket. What procedure should be used in disabling the current video card and making the switch?

Go into the bios and choose onboard graphics and remove the other vid card...
