My laptop has windows 10 education version installed. I recently built a PC and I want to use that product key for my new build (the product key is only usable for 1 pc).

So, I guess I should first change my laptop's windows 10 product key to a different one, then use my laptop's previous product key on my new PC. Will that work?

That's total nonsense.

For your new build you simply buy whichever version of Windows 10 you decide on, complete with it's own key & licence - - - your laptop's Windows key can play no part in that since that key is tied to the first PC you use it on.

Because I'm not sure if the new product key is legally original, I was able to activate it online, but I purchased it for only $3 (only for the product key), and the seller claimed that it's 100% original. So I wanted to use the windows 10's product key of my laptop, since it's completely original. Anyways, I have changed the product keys and it worked.
Thank you guys.

Yes I also thought the same, that's why I switched it to my old laptop. Thanks for the info :)
