For the life of me, I can only find 3 of the seals. I'm all over the place
in there. It's been such a long time ago since I've ever gotten to this
point that I just can't for the life of me figure out where the other two
are. Any hints?

TIA

Go to the spot where you find the first 2 seals together, then walk in the
opposite direction. The other 2 are right across from it on the other side
of the sanctuary.

B

A C

At A is the Grand Vizier. Next to that seal is a dummy seal that does
nothing.

At B is Lord Disease.

At C is The Infector of Holes, and next to that seal is the second
dummy seal.

Oy vey. I'm playing Chaos Empire. Is that making a difference? I
don't find 2 seals together. What I find are the seals situated in a
triangle, that being 2 situated at the furthest left and right sides and
one dead ahead of the center of the sanctuary. I did happen across a
seal in River of the Damned. Is that a part of this in this mod? Then I
would only have to find one more seal. Cripes. If Diablo isn't in
Chaos Sanctuary in this mod, where the ^%*&* is he?

You know, I was going to post something yesterday about this. I found one
of the seals in the Plains of Despair (2nd area) and another next to the
Hellforge, neither one spawned anything when I activated them. I have not
ventured past the River of Flames WP yet myself, only did 2 Hellforge walks
so far, plan on a few more to level up once or twice before tackling big D.
I want to know if anyone found where the stash is in acts 3 and/or 4. I am
still just jumping to act 2 sewers anytime I need to use it.

OK, so you're doing the same thing that I am. I found the seal in the
PoD and the Hellforge too. Yesterday, I activated both of them and
nothing happened, but today when I started the game, I started it in the
River of Flame WP, so the 2 earlier seals weren't activated. So,
believe it or not, I'm working backwards today. I got the 3 in the
Chaos Sanctuary, and believe me, there aren't more than 3 in there. I
walked that thing at least 25 times and scanned every mm of that area.
There are only 3 seals. I'm now in City of the Damned and working back
to the Plains of Despair. If this works backwards, I should be seeing
Diablo soon. If not, I get to do it all over again starting from the
beginning, which means that either you need to give yourself a whole lot
of time to get through every area in the same day, or just run through
each area only stopping to activate the seals and fight off whomever is
around. In any case, you can't kill the big D unless you do everything
in the same sitting. Hopefully I'll see him in the PoD and get this
overwith. I'd really like to get to Herrogath.

Btw, what level are you now? You talked about leveling up a bit more so
you can get the big D. I'm at level 35 - necro - Blood Golem, 4
skellies and 2 skelly mages. I'm not expecting a problem, but that big
D is one tough fella.

OK, forgot to answer about the stashes. I don't know about Act III.
But, I did find a stash in Act IV in the River of Flames just after you
go over the Hellforge, which is why you haven't found it yet. Oh yeah,
I do remember Act III. It's in Travincal in the temple where you kill
the High Counsel. But, I've just been going back and forth to Act II.
It's just way easier.

Awwwwwww. That was really nice. How did you know I have a soft spot
for all those poor little baby dogs that need homes? Figures you'd send
me there, lol. If I only had a nice big house, I could really help out
some of those little cuties.

But, the other site made me hungry. Boy that really looks yummy. Ya
hit me in both my soft spots, my heart and my tummy, lol.

Heh, I just hit 35 myself last night, I allocated my points a bit
differently, I get 9 skellies and 4 mages with the Fire Golem, I probably
could use a few more points in Skeleton Mastery but I will probably try to
off the big D tonight, hopefully I will remember to change from /players 20
back to /players 13 before I spawn him. I prefer the Fire Golem because he
attracts the monsters so nicely with his Holy Fire aura, they attack him and
mostly leave me alone. After learning about the elixir's giving you exp I
went and walked about in the beginning of act 1 for awhile to accumulate a
few. It also seems that those good potions that add dex vit etc are more
likely to drop in those very early areas, as if the author was trying to
give people a boost early on so they don't die _too_ much. Heh, I turned my
skellimancer into a mf'er for awhile, Auric ammy instead of Eye of Eitlich
and two 29% Nagelrings instead of SOJ's sure does boost your finds.
Oh, and I *really* like my circlet he's wearing, started off as a pretty
decent rare with plus one to necro skills and a few other nice mods, then I
stuck it in my cube with 4 pskulls to get two sockets which I filled with
ort sol to make Lore, _then_ I used the rare recipe and added faster cast
rate on top of everything else. It seems that you can not use that
socketing pskull recipe on uniques tho, I wasted several pskulls finding
that out. I am having trouble sometimes leveling up, I spend too much time
in town gambling, lol.

Well here is a prime example of the fact that you understand this game
much better than I do. You've equipped your necro so much better than
I've equipped mine, and you've used your skill points to a much better
advantage. I've been socking points into the masteries while I guess I
should have been putting more into skellies and golem instead. A short
while ago I discovered that we should find a golem we like and stick
with it rather than switching around and using up skill points in each
one, so I've stuck to the blood golem which seems to feed me life. But,
I do have a point in iron and fire golems and I can probably switch to
fire at some point if that will give me an advantage. I've never
crafted anything and that's something that I seriously need to look at
so I can get better equipment. I have such a cache of pgems and higher
end runes and I'm not doing a thing with them. I'm still confused about
the terminology here, i.e., rares, uniques. I just call things as I see
them, i.e., yellow items, gold items and blue items. But, I don't know
which is the rare and which is the unique. I've got a good collection
of yellow and gold items in my stash and I'm always waiting for things
that should help a necro, but so far I'm sticking with gold items.

Anyway, you'll do great against the big D with what you've got. You'll
even do well in Harragath. I think I'm gonna have to start doing
something about my guy or else I won't be making it through NM let alone
Hell. Maybe this is why I've NEVER gotten a char to the Hell level,
huh?

What do you think about using mages instead of skellys. Seems to me
they would do more damage than a normal skelly.

It's true. They do seem to do more immediate damage than the skelly's.
However, they don't appear to have the same staying power. Time and
again my mages get killed while I still have all my skellies fighting
the fight. Mages, like skellies, can be resurrected easily, however,
they need to be resurrected more frequently. It's another one that you
have to put points into if you really want them to be strong. At least
that's been my experience. I use them if I need to build up more of an
army, however I'm thinking it would be better to have more skellies than
to bother with the mages.

I have not done a necro in a long time. However reading your posts
about how much you are enjoying yours in the CE mod is making me start
to re-think about making one. I have always prefered a sorc to any of
the other types of char.

Well, I am not Diane, but I am also mainly a necro player so:
1 - no, they do not do more damage, but sometimes they are *necessary* if
you get a physical immune.
2 - they are not as 'strong', their life is less and so is their defense
3 - they quite often get in the way of your normal skellies when you are
'indoors'

This is why I usually max skellies but only put a couple/three points into
mages, perhaps with this mod giving me double points when I level up I shall
eventually put more points into mages, but that will be after maxing skel
mastery and golem mastery and also probably max Fire Golem first as well.

After reading the info form you and Diane, I guess my next build will be
a skellymancer! LOL Thanks for the info

I've never tried a sorc. I'm finding that, as a relatively "newbie"
player, I'm gaining levels and getting through Normal very well with the
necro b/c I have an army. I've played as a Barb, but the melee is
really hard and quite frankly, CE is started at /players 13, so if I had
to take a barb in there and try to go it alone, I'd be dead more than
alive. The crowd of monsters is just overwhelming. Mostly I stand back
and shoot out my Bone Spear and let the skellies and golem do all the
dirty work. In melee fighting, I have a tendency to get right in the
middle of things and that's not where you should be b/c being surrounded
only gets you killed. As it is, on a few occasions I've allowed my
necro to get right into the middle of a bunch of Unseens, and I almost
ate the dirt as they say. It's those times when I call for my skellies
to "get the hell over here and get me outta this mess." And they do
respond, lol.

YIKES!!!! I just met Damien! In the swampy pit. He must be another
one of those you need to wait until you have beaten baal to tangle with.
He handed me my butt on a stick several times before I decided it was
not worth it!

You're quite welcome. IMHO, a skellymancer is the easier build and it
allows you to feel a sense of confidence in the game. If I ever get my
skelly through Hell, I may at that point feel capable of putting
together a different character. But, I have no idea what my skill level
might be at that point nor what character I may be inclined to try next.
