Chapter 2; stuck on evidence quest

I've done all five of the quests required to obtain evidence and I
*think* I've given all necessary objects to Aribeth, as the items are
no longer in my inventory and they don't show up in the Divining Pool.
Yet Aribeth still directs me to look further in the NW Woods and
Charwood, and the "Vardoc's Hunt" and "Charwood Journal" quests
listings in my journal still tell me to show her the evidence. Of
course, Luskan is still locked.

How the heck am I supposed to get past this?

There are two or three journals you need to give her, one for each area.
Also, this quest is slightly bugged, I think, and the journal doesn't
update properly all the time.
