@ character key on Asus computer

I just set up a new Asus computer and can't seem to access the @ key. I've tried everything. Any suggestions would be welcome.

It should be the 2 above the regular letter keys. The 2 key isn't working when you hold shift and press that 2?

Yes, it is on the lower third of the 2 key, but I can´t access it.

Hi, just use the "Alt Car" beside the space bar at the right with the number 2 and you get the @ character.

Unfortunately that doesn`t work. I get a mini 2 as an exponential instead.

Very odd. Is it that the keyboard layout is not set to US?
