(As you can see at 28 seconds discord sounds stop and my character freezes but in game animations/sounds are fine.

Hi everyone I hope this finds you well, I have recently starting experiencing intermittent freezing on League of Legends specifically where my discord sound will completely cut out and my character in game will freeze as well but in game animations (such as orbs spinning around me) will continue until it unfreezes a couple seconds later.

After a lot of tests I would suspect this is actually a wifi issue but I don't understand why it ONLY happens on League of legends and thought I would seek some advice prior to buying some TP links or routing another ethernet cable through my house.

Troubleshooting steps taken:
Uninstall and reinstall nvidia drivers with DDU (Old and newer versions)
Cinebench for an hour on both single thread and multi-thread
Heaven Benchmark 10+ times with no stuttering
Windows memtest
Ran all of OCCT benchmarks for an hour with no reported errors
Uninstalled and reinstalled league of legends and more specifically vanguard anti-cheat.
Ensured wifi drivers in device manager did not have permission to turn the device off to save power

This all happened after my boyfriend swapped my GPU out for his old (known good) one and in doing so had to replace my PCIE wifi card with a

Thanks for any advice that can be given.

What BIOS version are you on for your motherboard? I would've looked into a B650 chipsetted motherboard with a good VRM design(inclusive of a heatsink) as opposed tot eh board you currently have.

Since you brought Discord up, see if disabling Hardware Acceleration in Discord helps bring about any change. Speaking of acceleration, what driver versions have you tried out thus far?

Corsair RM850 PSU
How old is the PSU?

32GB 5200mhz DDR5 Ram
The sweet spot for AM5's platforms are DDR5-6000MHz, with tight latency and a dual channel ram kit.

If you want to rule out your ISP or the internet connection, move over to Ethernet and see if your issue is alleviated. That robotic audio towards the end of the video would tell me you're having data packet loss.

Hey, the PC specs were not "by choice" it was more of a stop gap PC as my boyfriend was moving in and needed one so I just bought one from CyberPower.

The parts are all less than a year old but I got news in another forum that it could be a common issue with discord crashing connection services so I will give uninstalling discord a go later, will keep the forum posted.
