Question Charging IC is heating up when charger is plugged in ?

It does heat up a bit, cause its doing its job.
A problem would be if its heating up abnormally, thus meaning the IC is faulty/damaged.

The old IC was fried so i got a new one but now that new one is also heating up so high.

do you have a part number or model that can be used to identify it? typically the datasheet should contain whatever the operating temps are for it.

i dont know but what i know is it is near the charging port

did you try? also did the previous one heat up too before it got fried? And are you sure you got it replaced with one that meets the wattage rating of your charger?

the previous one also heated and fried because i installed a tool to get more fps

there were 3 options normal boost and temperature boost and ultimate boost i selected ultimate boost and my system heated up and the ic got fried then i got a new ic but it is also heating up even after i deleted that software

Not sure how a software level thing can affect charging IC tho

dude it a tool that boost performance but a lot of heat will be generated so i took the risk my lapteop heated up and the ic is fried and it is sitll heating up even after i delete the softwate i did a software reset too
with keep files

Boost performance, yes, the heat will be generated not on the charging IC. The CPU, GPU are the ones heating (and yes, more performance, more power intake & charging IC could get hot) . May I ask you how do you know if its the charging IC exactly that is heating up?

i asked the guy who recommended me that software he said that my motherboard took the high temparature as default so the ic got fried.
