Question Charging laptop through USB-C port ?

I have a HP Laptop. It has a USB-C port. I don't know if the USB-C port will allow me to charge via USB-C. I tried using a 20W adapter and 35W adapter. If I can't charge via USB C, is there some way I can have some one mod it with out replacing the whole motherboard?

Ah I see the specs link, it seems that the USB-C port on your laptop doesn't support charging (at least the page below says so).
