Charging smartphone while at 100%

Hello,

I usually start charging my phone when I go to bed, so it is full again for the next day. While I'm sleeping it is done charging already, but it is still plugged in until I wake up. So my question is if it harmful for my smartphone/battery to leave it plugged in for a few hours while it is at 100% already?

No. When at 100% the charge current stops flowing. So it can't do any harm.

No, the device has intelligent drivers to stop charging automatically when the capacity reaches 100%. Batteries are a lot smarter than they were when they were used for RC cars in the 90's. So long as you are not using a really old flip phone, you should be fine.
