Hello, i have bought a xiaomi phone but the charger that was included in the box is not compatible with the socket. I want to ask, if i charge my phone on a different brand's charger, is that gonna cause a problem to my phone battery?

I have two options or use that charger or charge my phone on the laptop.

Here are the specs of the two chargers:

Xiaomi charger: (phone charger)
100 - 240v - 50/60 Hz max 0.35A
5v = 2A

Lenovo charger:

100-240v ~ 50/60hz 0.15 A
Output: 5v = 1A

Photos of the two chargers, on the right is the xiaomi one.

Thats a Type B AC plug. You need a Type B to Type C adapter like this: https://www.amazon.com/UHPPOTE-Universal-European-Adaptor-Converter/dp/B013UXQDQ8?th=1&psc=1
A new good Charger would cost you around $25 and the adapters run for around $8 so it would be better to buy this adapter. Also read the first review of the item I posted, the user had the same issue as yours. Hope this solves your problem.
As a person related to Xiaomi, I would advise use the original charger or buy another reputed brand charger from a store. You may use the lenovo charger but phone will take double the time to charge. If the Xiaomi charger pins are not of your region you can buy a convertor for that.

No, it will be much slower. Usb ports of gen 2.0 give 0.5A and gen3.0 give 0.75A. Which is much lower than rated 5V 2A. For the time being use the Lenovo charger unless you get a adapter/a reputable charger

Your lenovo charger can not supply enough amps so it will take a really long time to charge if at all (depening on any safegaurds circuitry).

The Xiaomi just uses a standard microUSB plug like all android phones right? So then any half reputable brand's 2 amp charger will work. I prefer anker or aukey.

Ok let me ask this in a different way:

Did the phone give you a prompt saying it is not fast charging?
Did you do a timed test of different speeds beteween fast charging and not fast charging?
Or did it just feel like it took longer to charge so you are saying it did not work?

Sorry but Redmi 4 Prime doesnt support QC by Qualcomm. You need to use a 5V 2A rated charger as charging input current wont go above 2A. What pin does your original charger have? The flat pin or the round pin?
