Hi.
First, my specs:
HDD: at the moment, I'm using 40GB IDE HDD, will buy a new one (old one died :s)
GPU: Sapphire ATI Radeon HD4890
CPU: Intel's Core2Quad Q6600
RAM Memory: Kingston 2GBx1
Power Supply: FSP Blue Storm II 500W
Chassis: HuntKey H301
Motherboard: Intel's G35 - DG35EC
So. As you can see, I got mATX motherboard, and on it HD4890. that causes lots of problems. With the leading problem of heat.
I had Hitachi Star Desk HDD 500GB that died due to high temp. Or so I assume considering it died around 2 weeks after being in the same chassis with the new HD4890 (which I added, replacing Nvidia 9500GT).
And the question is what do I do with the heat? I'd like to buy a new HDD, and I'm afraid it'll die as well... How do I solve this?
In addition, I wanted to ask whether there will be any problem connecting SATA III HDD, to a SATA II connection (since my motherboard is pretty old, it got only SATA II connections)? Should there be any problems?
And last, I was wondering, if I add additional RAM memory of 1GB, will Windows 7 recognize it as 3? or less? plus, will there be any problems having 2 slots of 2GB & 1GB?
Thank you for you patience and help.
