Hi everybody,

I just build a new rig. The motherboard I chose was the Asus P9X79 Deluxe and I was digging in the UEFI/BIOS and came across Chassis Q-Fan Control option. Now.. there is also a CPU Q-Fan Control and I know what does that do - it regulates the Fan of the CPU. I had mine disabled because I have a Hydro Series Pump from Corsair. Now with the Chassis Q-Fan Control I know it controls the fan/fans of the case... but there are questions that I have:

1. When I would select enabled does this control all the fans on my case ? Some fans ?
2. What does the Chassis 1 Q-Fan Control and Chassis 2 Q-Fan control mean ? What fans does it control ?
3. I have a CoolerMaster Cosmos II case... and I have a controller on the front of my case... now.. if I enable the Chassis Q-Fan Control does this override my front controller ?

I just need help with this 🙁 Please help !!

Solution
The board has 4 chassis fan headers (CHA_FAN 1 to 4) and you can control each one in BIOS.
If you use the front controller, you won't connect the fans to the motherboard, right? Therefore no motherboard control (no override).
