Greetings Dawn,
There is no file to get. During conversations in Windows Messenger, the conversations
themselves are stored in memory; not on your hard drive. When you close the Window, the
conversation is removed from memory. There is never any trace of the conversation on your
drive itself.
The only exception here is if you're using Messenger Plus (in which case it would save it
into the \My Chat Logs folder in My Documents) or if you were using MSN Messenger (which
saves the conversation when you close it).
