Hey guys. I need a Cheap 2 way SLI(or more if possible) 1150 socket motherboard. I live in India and electronics items are very expensive here. I would gear it with an i5- 4670k and a GTX 780. Initially I was thinking about GTX 770 with MSI GD45 Gaming Motherboard. Since I have decided to go with GTX 780 ,now I have to cut down price from the Mobo. I will not be doing Video rendering or anything like that, this rig is completely for gaming only. And for now I will be using a 1080p Monitor and near future I will add another 1080p monitor. Also my Cabinet theme is red so I would be very happy if I get a red and black Mobo.

Solution

that's not exactly true. intel, specifically unlocked, overclocked core i5, i7 cpus perform better than stock and o.c. amd cpus for multigpu combinations. since nvidia cards and drivers have less cpu overhead than amd's. toms recent test showed that amd cpus work slightly better with nvidia sli than they do with cfx radeons.
i don't see msi z87 gd45 price on flipkart. the decent sli-capable motherboards that i know of start from 14k inr. for example, asus z87-a, asrock z87 extreme4. i found another asrock z87-killer selling for lower price, but i haven't read any review on it yet. among others, asus z87-plus is better - it's full atx unlike the narrower z87-a, gigabyte z87x-ud3h, asrock z87 extreme6, gigabyte z87X-sli etc.
how much does the msi z87-gd45-gaming cost at your place?
how cheap do you want to go?
what is your budget? getting a really cheap sli motherboard might hurt the 4670k's o.c. potential.

MSI GD45 Gaming cost almost 17k inr. I can go with a mobo of 10k inr maximum right now. If there is no sli mobo near this price I have to go with a non sli mobo. Also I am not sure if I will be overclocking the CPU, so if I buy i5-5670/i5-4570 instead of i5-4670k will this bottleneck with gtx 780 and gtx 780 sli. Cutting down in CPU cost will allow me to increase the budget for the mobo by 2-3k inr. I will not be doing any video rendering or stuff. My maximum budget for CPU and mobo combining is 25k inr.

17k inr... that price may be close to gigabyte z87x-ud3h or asus z87-plus.. or pro.
10k inr.. is too low for z87 motherboard with dual pcie x16 slot capable of running at x8+x8 mode. that price gets you usually b85 chipset motherboards, which don't have sli support. i see only 2 core i5 cpus on flipkart - 4430 and 4670k. you'd need something like a 4570 - but i think the price of 4570 may be too close to 4670k (in that case getting 4670k would be better even if you don't o.c.). non-k i5 won't bottleneck a single card much, if at all. but sli will see improvement from higher clockrate/overclocking.
25k inr is just too low for a good intel multi-gpu capable config. for that budget, have you thought about amd fx8350 with 990fx chipset motherboards? how much do those cost over there? according to flipkart, you can get an sli capable amd motherboard rather cheap, like gigabyte 990 fxa-ud3 or ud5. you'd have to o.c. to fx8350 to get more out of the gfx card(s), though.

I am not a big fan of AMD, also I have heard Nvidia works way better with Intel cpu. So I would rather go with non sli intel mobo then sli amd one. Do you happen to know good non sli intel mobos for 8/9k inr. In that case I can go with the i5 4670k. And single Gtx 780 with i5-4670k should be able to max out games for 2/3 years, right?????

The link is of an mobo I have seen. Whats your opinion on that????

doesn't look bad, but i dunno how it performs. all h87 motherboards tend to perform similarly. it'll depend on bios support and quality, drivers etc. but you won't be able to o.c. the 4670k. you'll be paying extra for the 'gaming' brand, n.i.c., and the on board audio chip.

i cannot tell you if gtx 780 can 'max out' games for 2-3 years. i only know how it performs now, with current and older games.

just in case, you can aim get cheap z87 motherboard with a 4670k, for minor o.c.

What about this one

It has SLI and cost same as Gigabyte GA-Z87-D3HP in ebay.in

i have decided to go with a non sli mobo. If you can, recommend me some good mobos with z87 chip,
