Question Cheap 240GB SSD for a notebook

Hi guys, i need a 240GB SSD for my Laptop:

which one is better between Kingston A400 240GB and Crucial BX500 240GB?

Do you have any suggetion for other SSDs?

Within these two you wouldn't go wrong either way but if you go by benchmarks Crucial>Kingston. I have the A400 installed in my notebook which i'm typing from now

Thank you, from the review i saw that the A400 is faster in Random Read, while the BX500 is Faster in sustained write.
Is your pc with the A400 responsive?

It is. 9 seconds boot time. If you are coming from a HDD you wouldn't ask for more.

In general usage the Crucial will be a very little bit faster... but to the point you wouldn't even notice it. Coming from an HDD these things are going to be like engaging warp drive. Either would be a good choice. I'm quite partial to the Crucial drives myself. I've had a few generations of Crucial SSDs and they all still work and have never done me wrong... that said I've also had a lot of Kingston RAM and that has all worked great. If their SSDs are of similar quality then you won't have an issue with them either.

They're not that different in terms of performance personally I would get the Crucial drive.

As said coming from an HDD it is quite an experience to see SSDs at work.

Seeing as the Crucuial MX500 is $40 for the 250GB, and the 500GB is $60...that is the default choice.
