There is an old saying that has gone around for a long time:
"Cheap, Fast, Good - Pick two!"
More practically, to address your posting, go for quality and stay with the same manufacturer as your router.
Be sure to match the wireless standards being used.
A cheap adapter is likely to have problems either with original design, manufacturing QA, poor/old/limited drivers, etc..
Even though you have a budget, which is good, you are likely to end up losing $ due to problems. Buy quality.
Read product reviews, look at manufacturer websites for FAQ's, user comments, support responses, and the all important User Guide/Manual.
Then you will be able to make a better informed decision. In this day and age that is no guarantee but you will at least have spared yourself some grief....
