My Asus Maximus Vii Ranger suddenly wouldn't start, i had light on the Qcode display that always showed 00 and there was light in the supreme fx part of the mb which is related to the sound, the fans on my noctua NH-D15 would only spin for half a second

Had to get another one that was sli compatible and fast, i got a Msi Z97S SLI KRAIT, it was the mb, unfortunately theres no optical output on the mb for my reciver that has a dac

Is there any good soundcard with optical output and that can play music in 24bit and 96000hz (or better) price no more then 25-30 € i would like a pci or pci e card you can recommend me, i don't want to buy the cheapest i can find

When i look at cheap soundcards they more or less always can be used for surround sound.

Why isn't there any cheap soundcards like the asus xonar dg you recommend me only in a hifi version so it's cheaper or for the same price should have better components because it can't be used for surround sound and there for have better sound when used for hifi ?

The asus Xonar DX dosn't have Optical out like on this soundcard http://www.techfuels.com/attachment.php?attachmentid=19441&d=1280267320 and the price is so high here in Denmark.

I feel when i use optical out theres a more clean, open sound and there should be less noise, but at a price in denmark what's equal to 100$ i would get more for my money if i return my mb and bougt a better one for like 50-75$ more then i payed
