Cheap cases

Hey i am building a computer with an A64 3200+, Radeon 9800 pro and was considering buying a case and powersupply for around 50 bucks, i found a couple with 420W ps and 3 case fans. I am conserned about cooling and noise what should i look for in a case? are the cheap cases alright?

I wouldnt trust them. A good 420W power supply alone should cost you around 100$. I've seen too many no-name PSUs go to crap after a couple of years.
As for the case, its seems it has good cooling but that's only because it has 3 fans. It will be really loud. You can get a case that will use less fans and have better cooling because of the design of the case.

My favourite case/psu combo is the Antec Sonata. It goes for about 140$ in Canada, so maybee around 100$ U.S. It has a 380W Antec True Power PSU (really good make) and it is a silent case with a 120mm silent fan. It also features rubber mountings for the HDDS and drives to reduce vibration as well as rubber feet. Futhermore it has a cleanable air filter.

May be a bit more on the expesnive side but definatly worth it; break the price down (in Canadian $)

There's 125$ alone. I'm sure the case is worth more than 15$

That's my opinion, but there are other cases out there they may suit your needs, but if you like quiet, this case is excellent.

dont get that case, the fans will be low quality, workmanship will be low quality, and the psu will be low quality.

if you get a cheap case get one made by "supercases"

they're of good build quality and a good desighn layout(with good airflow to hdd's and through the case), and the austin PSU's that come with them are solid and provide enough power for a 9800pro. they also look sharp.

they really are very nice.

the only reason they're cheap is that they are machined very crudely--fan grills are just a series of drilled holes, expansion slots are just punched out, etc.--but all that is really a non issue as it doesn't affect overall case performance or potential case performance(after removal of fan grills)

Cheap never is, it cost you in the end. If you want a quality case/power supply for a reasonable price, consider Enlight or Inwin cases, both come with good power supplies and cost around $60.

<A HREF="http://www.newegg.com/app/ViewProductDesc.asp?description=11-154-014&depa=0" target="_new">this</A> is the case i was talking about...but it cost me 50 in the store, but i dont mind. i'd rather see the case im getting before i buy it.

either apex sells the repackaged supercases or supercases sells the repackaged apex. either way my girlfrinds is VERY nice, like i said.

wrong spesifications are written on cheap PSUs. Be warned.
it may be written 420Watt, but how can you be sure?

There they have options where you can pick which power supply will be mounted in your case. I've had pretty good luck with their power supplies.
