Cheap Chiller

easier way, just shove your motherboard and cpu and all those expansion cards into your freezer and then buy some external cd writers and dvd roms.

That was a joke.

I hate Computers! I could only overclock my Barton 2500+ to 2645mhz. My Radeon 9700pro core/mem speed won't go above 410/720. I really hate computers!

I know it was a joke but it's been done.

Well, I don't know about the freezer one but some guy, a while back, put his P3 mobo in a mini-fridge. Put everything thing in while the fridge was room temperature. Ran cables for his CDROM. (Don't remember if the hard drive was inside or not). Sealed everything up with rubber caulking (or some such). Allowed the fridge to come down to minimum, stabilized temperature, about 3 days. Switched on the PC.

Since the fridge is sealed no moisture can get in to produce condensation. It should work for a freezer.

making repairs a pain in the f'in arse. But yeah point is, if you want a cheap cooling solution, use your imagination. Of course you've got to be willing to rebuild if your MacGyver [-peep-] springs some leaks.
