Hey folks, I have a new Arous GA--Z270X Gaming 7 board that I never used from an upgrade project a couple of years ago (long story) that I would like to use in a NAS box since I have it. I know its way overkill of a board but I have it so it's "free".
I have 16GB dd4 and the board along with a case and a ton of HDD's... I'm just trying to sort out what CPU would make a good match for the use case. This box once setup will live in the garage and hopefully never get physically touched again (aside from yearly dusting...yea right LOL). The main purpose of the box will be to house local backups of my primary storage drives as well as potentially storing media though I doubt that as my household is mainly Youtube/Netflix based these days..
