Hello all,

I have decided to build a Media Center PC capable of smooth 1080p60 playback on my TV, due to ridiculous connectivity issues with the Sony All In One unit that is present. I would like to know if the system that I currently have chosen for this is even capable of what I am demanding of it (CPU wise) and if so, what the best cheap graphics card solution for this would be. An HDMI port is a must. Thanks!

Current System Specs:

Dell OptiPlex GX620
Pentium D 820 @2.80GHz
3GB DDR2 RAM
Win7 HomePrem x64

I ran 720p just fine with a Pentium 4 3ghz single core and HD 5450 512mb with 4gb system ram. I think you should do better with a GT 730, or even a GT 710. It's really about the software. If you choose software that benefits from a videocard and configure it right, then it should be fine.

Haha, just movie playback, specifically steaming Netflix at 1080p, things like that. I'm very aware that the hardware is highly insufficient for any type of game.
