cheap minecraft server build

I'm looking to make a little minecraft server PC, and I don't know what parts would be ok for it to be able to run properly, I need it to as small form factor as possible and an amd CPU, I don't need a gpu as I have a spare, and as cheap as possible, thanks in advance

You're going to want to favour speed over number of cores because Minecraft is almost completely single-threaded (the Pentium G-based system above is a good example of this - it's only dual-core but it's fairly high-clocked and very efficient in terms of compute per clock). This is especially important if you're planning to run big modpacks - I run the Yogscast Complete pack on an i7-2600K overclocked to 4.4GHz and it lags horrendously when new terrain is being generated, even with only 2 players. If you want to run a "mega" modpack like that then you really need to ensure that all the terrain gets pre-generated.

Plenty of RAM is also a good idea. Minecraft and Java eat all the memory you can throw at them. You don't want to be...

after a fair bit of input, i take back amd processors for the server CPU, I changed it out for a pentillium g3258 (tell me if there is a better pentillium, I will be overclocking It in the future, and I'll start off with 4gb of ram, because the main terrain generation is going to be made during mining, or quarrying, and if there is complaints of slowdowns, I will be add in more ram to the server when appropriate, on that note, how do you allocate more ram to a server so it doesn't just feed off of 1gb of ram?
