I have an i5-4470 and some extra DDR3 ram, so I thought I would pick up a motherboard for cheap to make another system, maybe throw an RX 460 in there at most, presently. This will let me retire a Phenom II. Anyone see anything wrong with a used H81 or B85 chipset motherboard? I am wanting it shipped and taxed at under $30 or so. I even see a few Intel DQ87PG boards for cheap, and from what I read those boards supported the 4000s CPU just fine--it seems better than an H81 or B85. I know Intel dropped support around that time. Anyway, there seems to be some cheap micro board available. Obviously, something Z is better, but except for future proofing, I do not need it. Thanks for any advice on dated systems.

I think the 4470 is first revision Haswell so any 80 series motherboard should work.

You could probably pick up a Dell or HP board for really cheap. If you don’t care about a lot of BIOS options. Otherwise I’d get a B85 or better as the H81 options will likely be much lower quality.
